Where science fiction and linguistics meet.
To give an accurate description of what has never occurred is not merely the proper occupation of the historian but the inalienable privilege of any man of parts and culture. (Oscar Wilde) 3-4-04: I've split my two "Teresh/Ter'eS" pages apart; this site contains all my conlang pages. My Klingon pages can be found here. Welcome to my page of languages with a science fiction theme. Here you can find pages on the Star Trek language Borg, on the Elvish languages, and on the role-playing language Tsolyani, as well as my own language creations for the imaginary worlds of Amaterasu and Zyem. I have some fonts for you to download and lots of links to science fiction and language pages. You can find out a little about me, or visit my Klingon website or my "serious" website on the Egyptian language. Tsolyani is another SF-themed language I like. This was written (not by me!) for the role-playing game, Empire of the Petal Throne, set on the world of Tekumel. Here I provide a description of the language, a font you can download, and the Tsolyani Word Of The Day. I've also written my own languages. Two of them, Machi and Bogomol, are used by sapient mantoid beings from Amaterasu, a planet orbiting Epsilon Indi. Several languages have been devised for the world of Zyem, which is our own Earth in an alternate Universe (the inspiration for the "double Earth" image at the top of the page!). The most developed of these is Vogu (which includes a useful Traveller's Phrasebook, in case you're planning a trip!). You can check my links to Star Trek sites, science fiction writers, languages real and imaginary, and to an eclectic group of sites that caught my eye.
