There is no correlation between the ethnic groups of Zyem and the ethnic groups or "races" of Earth. Since Zyem's history and Earth's parted ways at the end of the last Ice Age, Zyem has pursued its own course, and its peoples have evolved in their own way. Although the Ranamemi originated in the Indus Valley, they are not Dravidian. The Kadane are not Semitic, although they originated in the Middle East. Despite their origin in Africa, the Thisbo are not Negroid. There is, in fact, not one single Earthly race which has its exact counterpart on Zyem.
This is not to say that the Kazyem are utterly strange to our eyes. The same variations in eye shape, skin coloration, hair texture, etc., exist there as here, but they are combined in ways unusual to us. At any rate, the Kazyem do not make the issue of race that we do; indeed, the "strangest" race of all, the Saambu, descended from the Neanderthal and not even related to the other peoples of Zyem, have co-existed peacefully with them for millenia.
